Description
Corpusty Mill Garden, is a 5 acre private garden located in North Norfolk, England, known for its picturesque landscapes and artistic design. The garden was designed, built and planted by John and Roger Last between 1963 and 1990, and then further enlarged and developed by Roger from 1990.
The garden features a mix of formal and informal elements, with terraced lawns, wildflower meadows, and carefully curated plantings that complement the natural beauty of the millpond and surrounding countryside. The garden also incorporates sculptures and installations, blending art and horticulture harmoniously.
Photo-haiku photographer Stewart Wall visited the gardens in 2024 as a guest of the Norwich Photographic Society and produced this 21cm square, 80-page photobook. It features a selection of images captured with his Fuji X100VI, including a photograph of Roger standing on an ornamental bridge overlooking the ponds. Stewart then used these images as inspiration for writing haiku.
The photobook is presented as photo-haiku, encapsulating the experience of walking through the garden in a single day.
