With over forty years of experience, my journey as a professional photographer began in the fast-paced world of press photography, where I learnt the art of capturing decisive moments of everyday life.
Today, as a social documentary and landscape photographer, I continue to focus on documenting life’s pivotal moments, whether in vibrant streets, tranquil countryside, or along rugged coastlines.
My work seeks to uncover the essence of life in every environment, creating images that tell authentic and compelling stories.
Sometimes, I incorporate haiku poetry to deepen the connection between what we feel about life and how we see it through our images.

Now, I enjoy share the skills I’ve honed over a lifetime, teaching others the art of photography with an emphasis on seeing, timing, composition, and narrative through workshops and online courses.
I’m deeply passionate about the lasting power of photobooks, which I champion as a medium to preserve and present visual stories with depth and nuance,
allowing future generations to experience our times through the legacy of our archives.

Through both photography and teaching, I aim to inspire others to see the world with fresh eyes and to capture its fleeting, meaningful moments.
It would be great to see you on one of my workshops or online courses

One day workshops

These one day workshops are a great way to improve your landscapes, learn some new camera skills and spend time enjoying photography at a relaxed pace with a small group of like-minded people. Itineraries are carefully planned to ensure we are always in the right place at the right time to get the best from each location and numbers are limited to 5 participants so there is plenty of individual tuition but with limited places they sell out fast!
