Part of what I do in photography is assess images and run a region for the Royal Photographic Society. I have five counties to look after in the RPS East Midlands, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Lincolnshire. In April 2022 I appointed representatives to each county, a new idea for the RPS Regions.
‘The Day We Went To Lyveden’ was the first event organised by one of the new reps, which was Robert Herringshaw, the rep for Northamptonshire. Once I entered the gates onto the estate I just felt my whole body relax. Robert did a great job and we all had a great day, the day went to Lyveden.
Lyveden is not a ruin, but a home that was built and never finished hundreds of years ago. The building with windows is the new cafe, which is the first thing that greets the visitor, and then there is a gentle stroll over the meadows, and through the trees past the water to Lyveden itself.
