When RPS Licentiate Assessors go out with their cameras walking the same route at the same time what photography do they create? The day before the October 2023 Licentiate Assessments the Chair of the Assessors, Stewart Wall invited his team to join him on a Ginko Photo-walk around the Bristol Paintworks. Assessors Viveca Koh and David Jordan as well as David’s wife Joan all joined him with their cameras and setting off from outside Martin Parr’s Academy and the RPS building the four walked through the Paintworks to the Golden Bridge across the River Avon, and then along the river bank back across the road before returning home.

The book includes a different photo-essays, complete with haiku in response to the images, from each photographer making for an interesting set of creative work that shows how the assessors work and think with their cameras. Each photographer also wrote a text based essay about their experience doing the walk together which is also published the book.

Photographers published in the book are:

Viveca Koh
Joan Jordan
David Jordan
Stewart Wall

If you are interested in developing your own creative photography this photo-book might well give you some excellent ideas to work with. The book would make a lovely present for someone.
